Coop WorkTerm Report Template

For your workterm report, you'll need to use LaTeX, and it should follow a standard format. You will use the git source control system to checkout the template from a central repository add you workterm report to a new directory named with your username and the commit the changes back to the repo.

You will have to ask Ian for access to the repository. put a copy of your public ssh key in your home directory named "username"_rsa.pub and let Ian know it's there.

To clone the repository do

git clone ssh://git@fate-2.phys.uvic.ca:2200/hepuser/git/dev/CoopWorktermReports.git
if this command doesn't work you will need to add a config file to your .ssh directory with contents of
Host fate-2.phys.uvic.ca
        Port 2200
then run the clone command again without the port
git clone ssh://git@fate-2.phys.uvic.ca/hepuser/git/dev/CoopWorktermReports.git
Before commiting anything back to the repo make sure git is configured with the correct email so your commits will be tagged correctly
git config --global user.email "username@uvic.ca"
Make yourself a directory in the repo where you're workterm report will go and copy over the template
mkdir username
cp template/* username/
mv username/workterm-report-template.tex username/username-workterm-report.tex
Add all your new files and commit
git add username
git add username/*
git commit -a
Push the changes back to repository
git push origin master
