Running Belle2 in a VM (belle-base) image

Boot a VM from on a Nimbus cloud (elephant or synnefo)

vm-run -r 4000 -s ~/.ssh/ -c elephant -R belle-base
vm-run -c Synnefo -R frank/cernvm-belle-node-2.7.2-x86_64.gz -n private

Login into the VM (Nimbus, Openstack or EC2) and set up Belle2 environment from CVMFS

source /cvmfs/
source /cvmfs/

Set up release directory (use belle2 account and pw for retrieving release directory)

newrel release build-2013-11-10
newrel release release-00-03-00
cd release

Temporary fix to the Rootoutput problem (output file will be corrupt otherwise)

Alternative solution is to add this line to the python steering script

rootoutput.param('updateFileCatalog', False)

Simple functional tests

basf2 --info
basf2 /cvmfs/
basf2 /cvmfs/
